I just did my spring cleaning (in google reader - I wish the house could be cleaned up that easy).
I have unsubscribed the other way but for some reason I end up with 102 unread posts in my reader. I like to have my reader and email cleaned up. Otherwise i will abandon it and then worry that I am missing something I need to see. Thanks for the tip.

My biggest hurdle right now is the sheer quantity of crap - but the junk is mixed with the good and I start trashing stuff then get overwhelmed

My problem is deleting freebies, of all things, I finally made myself really look at a lot of stuff last week and realized a lo tof it could go! It felt good to hit delete and then I even moved onto kits I'd bought. I had an even harder time, until my husband noted the big box of paper scrapbook supplies I had to donate. I paid for those too but for some reason, probably a physical space & visual clutter issue, it's a lot easier for me to dump that stuff.

I've started a "To Use" folder within my Downloads folder that I put things I want to scrap with in. If I come across an older kit while purging that I'm just sure I will use "soon," I put it in that folder so it's fresh in my mind - that's the folder I go to first when starting a new page. I don't let things languish in there long, either. Once it starts getting full, I either move the items to their appropriate folder (I use a Windows folder organizational scheme) or if it's something older and still unused, I'll delete it.

Thanks for the list! There are definitely some that I'll be downloading as soon as I'm done typing this! My favorite app that I use the most is my DISH Remote Access app from my TV provider/employer DISH Network. With my Sling Adapter hooked up at home I'm able to "sling" all of my subscribed programming live or recorded to my Android anywhere I go in the world just as long as I have a working 3G or WiFi connection. It's really cool, and a great way to waste some time when bored. My Adapter cost me $99, but those who purchase one through DISH now can practically get it for free. Question...... Do your chosen elements at the points of triangles all have to be the same ie 3 gingham circles, 3 flowers, 3 yellow 'things' for it to work ?
